Today has been 3 weeks since we have been home. Kinsley is really adjusting very well. She is saying more and more words. She can say her name, all gone, ok, in a minute, belly button, no, go to get the paper, umm-umm, light, and several more that I can’t remember. She understands most of the things we say to her, although she can’t say them on her own. She jabbers constantly, we don’t know if it is baby talk or Chinese. She tries to sing the ABC’s with a CD we play for her or with a toy she has that plays the ABC’s song. She loves the wheels on the bus song also. She is sleeping mostly all through the night. She sleeps at the foot of our bed (by her choice). We gave up on her own bed for now. She does not like to be alone at night, I guess in the orphanage she was always around others. She will wake up most nights at 2:30 am and whines a little, but we re-assure her that we are there and she goes right back to sleep. She wears a pull-up or a diaper at night and sometimes she is still dry when she wakes up. She does very well going to the bathroom during the day. We have only had a couple of accidents. During her nap time if she falls asleep and I forget to put a pull-up on her I sometimes put a piece of a cut up vinyl tablecloth under her bottom just in case she has an accident. This morning I was playing with her and acting like I was taking a nap and she ran to her room and came back with a piece of that tablecloth and tried to put it under my bottom. We are really enjoying her. She seems to be so smart. She copies many of the things we do. This morning, when the phone rang, she ran to get her play phone and tried to answer it. She loves to look at pics and videos of herself on the computer. She raises her hands and says Yea! Yea! and squeals when she sees herself. I could go on and on. Maybe it won’t be so long before I post next time.

Kinsley with her cousin Levi
Levi and Sharon brought Kinsley those overhalls! So cute. Levi fell playing at the playground. Thank the Lord he did not break it! Yea!!
So funny
While I was putting my make-up on, I had brought her little rocking chair into our room for her to watch a little TV. Well, she dicided to scoot it into the bathroom with me and draw. I didn't realize what she was doing until I turned around and saw her make-shift table.
the park and picnic lunch!
It took her a while to warm up to the other children but she had fun. We ended up with PBJ sandwiches. Then home for a nap.
At the Library
Her first time to go to the library. They have a fun time planned for the kids. She is reaching for crayons from the box. It is time to color!!
Her favorite breakfast
Yeah-Yeah and Lo-Lo come for a visit!
Playing while Ma-Ma gets ready for the day
Our first accident
She touched the hot stove eye. That made me feel so bad-- to let that happen to her!! I told Wayne we finally get her all the way from China then we hurt her :-( I know that hurt her so bad! She cried and cried. We put her hand in some ice water with a cloth in it to protect her skin from the ice. We also broke off some of our aloe plant and put it all over the burn. She was happy when we gave her 2 gogurt frozen yogurt's. She wanted her Ba-Ba to keep his hand over hers on the bowl the whole time.
Our first Happy Meal!!
Too Cool!
