When the Doctor came in she was not happy. She had to take her shoes and socks off. He examined her feet and hands. He then made us lay her down and pull her pants off. She did not like that. He wanted to examine her from head to toe. I guess looking for abnormalities. Everything checked out ok but she did not like that!! She did not cry long. Our guide told her in Chinese that we would buy her some ice-cream when we finished and she perked up! She said she wanted vanilla ice-cream. The guide said you don't want chocolate? She said no vanilla!! Smart girl! We can't really communicate with her and it is amazing what all she knows.
This reminds me so much of our son's response during that part of the medical exam as well. How did she do with the TB injection, did she have to have any immunizations? This is a new step in the process, that we did not have to do with our adoption in 2007, and it is a part I am a little worried about with our up coming adoption trip. praying for the rest of your journey home to be safe and joyful.
