Home for 3 weeks!!

Today has been 3 weeks since we have been home.  Kinsley is really adjusting very well.  She is saying more and more words.  She can say her name, all gone, ok, in a minute, belly button, no, go to get the paper, umm-umm, light, and several more that I can’t remember.  She understands most of the things we say to her, although she can’t say them on her own.  She jabbers constantly, we don’t know if it is baby talk or Chinese.  She tries to sing the ABC’s with a CD we play for her or with a toy she has that plays the ABC’s song.  She loves the wheels on the bus song also.  She is sleeping mostly all through the night.  She sleeps at the foot of our bed (by her choice).  We gave up on her own bed for now.  She does not like to be alone at night, I guess in the orphanage she was always around others.  She will wake up most nights at 2:30 am and whines a little, but we re-assure her that we are there and she goes right back to sleep.  She wears a pull-up or a diaper at night and sometimes she is still dry when she wakes up.  She does very well going to the bathroom during the day.  We have only had a couple of accidents.  During her nap time if she falls asleep and I forget to put a pull-up on her I sometimes put a piece of a cut up vinyl tablecloth under her bottom just in case she has an accident.  This morning I was playing with her and acting like I was taking a nap and she ran to her room and came back with a piece of that tablecloth and tried to put it under my bottom.  We are really enjoying her.  She seems to be so smart.  She copies many of the things we do.  This morning, when the phone rang, she ran to get her play phone and tried to answer it.  She loves to look at pics and videos of herself on the computer.  She raises her hands and says Yea! Yea! and squeals when she sees herself.  I could go on and on.  Maybe it won’t be so long before I post next time.
